The LCCHA is a group of volunteers that have a passion to improve the records of burials in Lucas County, Ohio, so that anyone
can easily locate a burial of interest to them. We are non-paid, non-profit, archival, cultural, historical and educational;
a class A82 organization that interprets, collects and preserves the historical heritage of this specific geographic location.

Old Toledo State Hospital Brush Removal - Saturday 11 May 2024 at 9M, at the Toledo State Hospital Old Cemetery (near
Bowsher High School). Bring old clothes and insect spray.

Apply decals on veteran gravestones at Toledo memorial Park Cemetery in Sylvania.
This event is on Tuesday May 21st and May 23rd 10AM to 3PM. Another group will have placed American flags on veterans
graves, preparing for Memorial Day. So, our group will go to those sections that already have flags placed & then, using a
printed list of buried veterans, we will be putting small yellow stickers on the gravestones of veterans buried at Toledo
Memorial Park (TMP). If interested, contact davidweber@lccemetery.org. Or just show up. We will have lists of veterans, maps
of the cemetery and gummed decals. A fun family friendly event. Young children will need a chaperone.

This is a continuation of last year's wetland clean-up. The place will be a nature preserve [corner of D St. & Paxton St.
in Toledo] here. Partners for Clean Streams will bring supplies and some volunteers too. Wear old clothes.

The Lucas County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society is calling for oral presentations to be given at their chapter meetings, which meet monthly every 3rd Saturday at 2PM at
the Downtown Toledo Main Library. Presentation slots currently available are April thru November. If any interest, contact

The LCCHA looking for ideas for requesting a grant of up to $2500 from the Ohio Local History Alliance for digitizing records of Lucas County. Contact president@lccemetery.org or bring up your idea at the next LCCHA meeting. The deadline for the grant is February
